VPS Guardian Services provides a cost effective way to keep our clients property safe, secure and maintained to a high standard throughout occupancy. The Guardian sector is a rapidly growing area of business and VPS are at the forefront of this growth. This is a great opportunity to play an integral role in driving the growth that VPS requires, taking the Guardian business to a new level.
We are seeking a BDM to drive new business growth from client wins and manage relationships with key client accounts, drive growth in these accounts, liaise with clients to minimise issues to ensure customer satisfaction and margin growth from multiple locations and delivery teams.
You will also be required to work across functions to ensure VPS deliver against its obligations under the contract and ensure long term relationship with key stakeholders at the client company.
Duties include:
Develop and promote an understanding of the vacant property services that the client needs with in the account
Develop client retention strategies and approaches to opportunities arising from out of the account
Ensure all delivery locations work to agreed delivery standards for the account Financial, Operational and Technical Leadership
Deliver the agreed budgetary performance of the account
Have in place contingencies to mitigate any potential risks with in the account
Ensure delivery of account KPIS
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Measure client satisfaction at all levels of the account
Monitor the strength of the brand within the key clients senior team and ensure strategy in place to maximise VPS brand and awareness
Build recognition and awareness of the VPS brand through key client stakeholders
Develop an account strategy with the appropriate input of peers to ensure sales growth targets from accounts is achieved
Ensure efficient use of sales resources and assets to optimise performance of new business wins
Grow established client accounts, and develop new revenue streams from other VPS products
Understand the competitor landscape and commercial implications on the business and have contingencies for these threats
Ensure that our services are delivered at rates which deliver acceptable returns. Ensure that the business has appropriate pricing and contract profitability
Align the account delivery team with guardian business culture and process’
Take accountability for the delivery of service through the operations team and ensure strong relationships with the ops teams in each location
Act as a role model for collaborative working across the Guardian business and wider UK team
Build peer relationship with other sales managers within the wider UK team
Preferred experience/skills:
Strong new business, solution selling, proven record of success with demonstrable experience of new business development
Solid track record in sales and closing businesses.
Management of people and process.
Good organisational skills.
Worked in a national account role previously.
Excellent communication skills are essential both orally and written. Able to communicate at all levels both face to face and over the telephone.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft packages
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a fluctuating workload
Good problem solving skills and able to use your own initiative
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
